At the heart of the image

Today I juggled so many things but amongst them was reconstructing this photo. It was originally a colored photo I took in Kenya, Africa. With a little bit of manipulation this is what came out.

Flash Complication

Recently I've been attempting to learn more about my flash and my camera. I've been playing around with the SB-800 and it's ability to sync with other same of its kind flashes. I'm using the Nikon D2Xs and a couple of SB-800 flashes. It was very liberating to learn how to use it's remote/master function. I used it on manual as I was taught in a class I just attended and add or subtract the amount of light as I please and with a charm the flash listens. I feel more in control of the output. So far it's looking ok.

I documented the Military Ball celebrating the Air Force's 60th Anniversary this past weekend and came out with one decent photo out of the 200 I took.
