I love Stella's work!

I'm pretty picky about the kind of art I like. Stella's reminds me alot of Susan Boullet and Gustav Klimt's work, two of my all time favorite artists. I have their work up and about in my home. Suffice to say, here are two works by Stella Im Hultberg that I really like and could only hope to create something that speaks to me as these two do.

Check out this amazing girl's work. She is living the life I could only dream of... for now : )

Judith Geher

I just discovered a new artist who's work I like.
Her name is Judith Geher. She is a native of Canada. She is pretty fascinating with a degree in Architecture and spent a year in Paris, at a studio, developing ideas on art and architecture.
I can really relate to her except I'm using my photography and design abilities to keep me employed right now but wanting to get back into my first passion, painting.

I've enjoyed painting women since I was 10 years old. I just find them beautiful to paint like the rest of the world. But my concentration will be on the beauty of women who look like me, the dark silhouette, the black hair, the piercing brown eyes.

Abstract Art

I'm sitting in my Graphic Design class and everyone is bustling around me trying to get their homework done and here I am surfing the net. It feels nice to have my homework done before class starts and not be a part of the havoc of trying to use the printer and mounting the final project.

In my internet search for art. I found some really neat artwork that I may try to emulate. It's a bit too strong and edgy for me but I really enjoy the bright colors they used. I like abstract art because I can take whatever emotions I want to get out of the painting.
The colors alone speak to me not to mention the strokes of line and forms created.

Going back to Normal

I'm going back to my normal life of just me, me and more of me. It's nice to have all this time for me. I can go back into putting time into my paintings, drawings, designing and photography. Yup, it's all about ME! I'm very excited because a new friend of mine and I are going to put on an art show of our work in December. We are going to start at a local coffee shop in Moreno Valley and work our way out from there. This will be a fun and challenging project in which it means I need to get my focus back into my fine art! I've got some really great ideas that I've sketched out in the past 15 years of my life, starting from highschool, during my lost and confused stage, to my disciplined and somewhat mature stage. And I've got some really great ideas now. Look at world, here comes Tess & Carolyn, Thelma & Louise style!!!
